Tracking is ESSENTIAL to Online Marketing

Learn How Tracking Will Save You Tons of Time and Advertising Dollars in the Long Run

Tracking each step of your marketing funnel will allow you to determine which parts are converting the best and where you need to improve.

You definitely want to incorporate tracking if you are paying for traffic, whether if be solo ads, Google ads, or Facebook ads, but you should also track your free traffic sources.

The tracking tool that I am about to recommend is very effective because it allows you to track split testing, filters our bot traffic for a more “true” representation, and even allows you to set up custom tracking domains.

This Software is Called ClickMagick

==> Click Here to go to ClickMagick

You will see a page that looks like this..

tracking, affiliate marketing, tracking your marketing funnel, marketing funnel optimization, optimizing your marketing funnel

If you are just starting online, the starter plan should be plenty for now , and you can also pay for a monthly subscription instead of annual.

What you get with ClickMagick:

Tracking Links – You can create individual tracking links, that redirect to you desired destination.  An example of where these are useful would be to give to solo ad providers or a YouTube video, and each link click will be tracked (both total clicks and unique clicks)

Rotator Links – These links work best for your download buttons and allow for split testing.  You can add multiple URL’s and the link will randomly and evenly take visitors to each URL, such as your affiliate offers, so that you can see which ones are converting the best.

Conversion Tracking – You can add pixels to each URL, and when someone purchases through your link ClickMagick will show your revenue.

Training – Provided for every single aspect on the software.  They show you step by step how to track everything along your funnel.

And much more… Check it out to see what all is offered.

Like I said before, utilizing a tracking system will pay for itself over and over again.

Tying Your Marketing Funnel Together (Pictures Included!)

Integrating Your Leadpages with GetResponse

When someone lands on your opt-in page and enters their email address, how do you capture that person as a lead?

To do this, we need to integrate our Leadpages (landing page) with GetResponse (Our autoresponder).

Then when someone enters their email address on your opt-in page, it will automatically be stored in a database within your autoresponder and will allow you to follow up with that lead in the future to give them information about your offer.

This is very simple to do but first if you have not set up your GetResponse and Leadpages accounts, do so now.

==> Here are the links for Leadpages and GetResponse

If you need help setting up these accounts, check out the articles below that walk you through each step.

Setting up Leadpages

Setting up GetResponse

First, log into Leadpages and open GetResponse in another tab.

In Leadpages, click the drop-down arrow at the top right of the page by your account name and click on “Integrations.”

getresponse, leadpage, opt-in, landing page, integrating your autoresponder

Click on the “GetResponse” icon.

getresponse, integrations, leadpage integrations, integrating your autoresponser

Now you will be asked to enter your GetResponse API Key.  What the API Key does is allow the two softwares to “speak” to one another directly.

To locate your API key, click over to the tab where GetResponse is open and click the drop-down arrow by “My Account” in the top right corner > click on “Integrations”.

getresponse, integrations, autoresponder integration, API key, api

On the left hand side, click on “API and OAuth”.  You will then see your default API Key.

API, API key, getresponse api, default api, getresponse default api

You will want to highlight and copy your API Key and then go back over to Leadpages.

Paste your API Key back into the box and then hit “Connect”.

leadpages connect, connect api key to leadpages

This may take a minute, but once it is complete you will see the confirmation.

getresponse api, leadpages api, integrating your autoresponder to your landing page

Success!

Now Leadpages is able to “speak” to your GetResponse account when someone opts-in to your landing page.

I hope this was helpful to you!

Your Autoresponder – The Bread and Butter of Email Marketing

Your opt-in page is set up, great!  Now you will be able to start collecting email addresses to provide your subscribers with valuable information over time.

This is where your autoresponder comes into play..

This software allows you to set up an email sequence that will automatically be sent to your subscribers on specified days and times.

First of all if you have not set up your Leadpages account yet, do so now.

You can refer back to the email where I explained how to get your Leadpages account here.

I recommend an autoresponder software called GetResponse, for a few reasons.

Email Deliverability:

GetReponse takes great care of their servers and they keep spam marketers out.  This allows emails from this software to be more likely to end up in the recipients inbox instead of their spam folder.

Price:

They offer much cheaper options than most other autoresponders out there, along with a 30 day trial.  This speaks for itself, try it for 30 days and simply cancel if you need.  This allows you to get a feel for how it works and what you can do with it.

Features and Functions:

Split testing is a necessary function for any marketer, and GetResponse provides an easy to navigate platform to help split test your email autoresponder sequence.

To start all you need is the smallest plan, which you can slowly bump up as your list grows.

You will also need to activate your account through your email after your initial sign up.

Get your 30 day trial now with GetResponse and take a look around.

Keep an eye out for my next article, where I will show you step-by-step (with pictures) how to integrate GetResponse with your Leadpage and start growing your email list.

Creating Your Landing Page (Opt-In Page, Squeeze Page)

As an marketer, we want to build an email list as we promote our affiliate offers.  As they say, “The Money is in the List!”

The best way to do this is by having a “squeeze page” that we use to capture our visitors email address, which then allows us to periodically follow up with them to provide value and promote our offers.

If you have not yet seen the diagram, check out this article that outlines each step of setting up our marketing funnel.

Also, if you do not yet know how to set up your domain name, hosting, your WordPress site and custom email address (that matches your domain) click here for the guide.

Now that you are ready to move forward, assuming you are following along after reading the two above articles, you will want to get your opt-in page set up.

The software that I recommend is called Leadpages.

Leadpages allows you to build these pages with an extremely simple to use, drag-and-drop platform.

(If you follow my YouTube channel, I will be posting a video on exactly how to create your first Leadpage)

The standard plan would work for a complete beginner, but I recommend getting the pro plan.  With the pro plan, you are able to split test your landing pages to see which are converting the best.  Split testing is essentially using two or more different landing page variations, ads, etc. at the same time to see which performs the best.

To get Leadpages for yourself, click here.  The investment is definitely worth it and makes this step of the process very easy.

Once you integrate your autoresponder with your Leadpage, you will be able to start building your email list to promote your offers to and start generating commissions.

Second Steps: Connecting Your Hosting to Your Domain and Installing WordPress

If you missed my article on purchasing your domain and getting your hosting, refer back to it here.

By now, I hope you have decided on a niche, purchased your domain, and grabbed your hosting.  It covers how to get your domain and hosting for your site.

Here is what you will be doing as you follow through this article:

– Connecting your Hosting and Domain

– Installing WordPress

– Setting up your custom Email

The “>” symbol refers to clicks and separates steps…

Connecting HostGator to your URL:

Log into GoDaddy

Domains > Manage > (Click on the Setting Gear Icon) Manage DNS > Click on “Change” Nameservers

You should have received an email from HostGator titled “Your Account Info”.  Refer back to that email.  If you have not set up your hosting yet, do so now.  Click here for HostGator

HostGator Web Hosting
You will then copy and paste the 1st and 2nd nameservers from HostGator into the two nameserver sections, and then save.

This may take a few moments to update but you now have successfully linked your GoDaddy domain with your hosting server.

Installing WordPress:

WordPress is a software that allows us to build a website very easily.  We will use a plugin to sync with our Opt-In page so that it is visible on our domain.

Log into HostGator Control Panel.  (Refer back to  the “Your Account Info” email from HostGator for the link, your username, and password)

Once inside the control panel:  Click on “WordPress – 1 Click Installation” > Select Domain (Leave “directory” section blank) > Next

Fill out relevant sections and click “Install Now”.  Once the installation is complete, save down your Installation Details (Username and Password).

(Again, these changes may take a bit to update so do not worry if the site link does not work right away)

Custom Email:

Now we want to create a custom email address that matches our domain and optimizes it for deliverability.

Go to your HostGator CPanel – again, you can find this in the email from HostGator titled “Your Account Info”

Once inside the control panel:  Under Email options, click on “Authentication”.  On the next page, make sure that DKIM and SPF are Enabled. (These help you avoid being seen as a spam email account)

Back in the Email options, click on “Forwarders” > Add Forwarder (Not Domain Forwarder) > enter first name (this will set the address as yourfirstname@yourdomain.com) > enter address that you want to forward to (ignore pop up) >  Add Forwarder

Now you have the ability to send emails from your custom domain, and all replies to your custom domain will be forwarded to your selected email address.

To recap:  You now have connected your domain with your HostGator nameservers, installed wordpress on your domain, and optimized your email for your custom domain.

Keep an eye out for the Third Steps Article, where we will go over setting up your custom landing page and publishing it to your domain.  After that, anyone who searches your domain will now see the Opt-In page that you designed!

Talk to you soon!

First Steps to Setting Up Your Marketing Funnel: Domain Name and Hosting

The first crucial step with online marketing is to have the basic understanding of the marketing funnel…  Refer back to my marketing funnel overview here.

Our marketing funnel allows us to gain leads through an opt-in form, usually by providing their email address (More to follow on this).  Once we have someone’s email address, we can follow up with them to provide valuable content and offer them relevant products that will allow us to make commissions.

Once you decide on a niche or a certain product that you want to promote, you can tailor your opt-in page page to suit that niche/offer.

– You will first want to purchase a domain for your site (I recommend GoDaddy, they have excellent customer service if you ever need anything).  You can also purchase your domain right through HostGator, see below.

– The second step to getting your funnel up and running is to get hosting for your site.  Providers such as HostGator “host” your domain on a server so that your site can become live and view-able on the internet.  For now, you only need the basic plan which is extremely cheap.
HostGator Web Hosting
Until next time, sit down and think about about what type of products you want to promote.  As an example if you are into fitness, a fitness/strength training/ weight loss offer may be good for you since you have background knowledge.  You will also want to think of a domain name that is congruent with what you will be promoting.

Once you purchase your domain and hosting, we will be able to walk through the steps to get your website up and running.

Talk to you soon!

Top 5 Free Traffic Sources in 2017

Whether you are a seasoned affiliate marketer of just trying to land your first commission, it is inevitable that you need traffic to promote your affiliate offers to.

Here are the top 5 sources to generate free traffic in 2017:

1. YouTube

YouTube is the the second largest search engine on the planet.  People go to YouTube to find answers to almost any question they have, and there are always videos that answer those questions.  YouTube videos also get good search engine rankings.

I recommend creating your own YouTube channel and post videos that will attract your target demographic.  These videos do not have to be long, and they can be anything from a simple “tips” style video to product reviews and so on.  Over time, and as you create more videos you will see more and more views rolling in and you will start to gain a following.  People also have the option to subscribe to your channel to receive updates every time you post a new video.

Building such a following will create an excellent base of people to promote your affiliate offers to, and as you build trust with your audience they will be more and more likely to click your affiliate links.

2. Facebook

Facebook fan pages and Facebook groups present a great opportunity for internet marketers.  Niche specific groups have a huge amount of highly targeted visitors.

If you join such Facebook groups and provide some good value, it will help you start to position yourself as an authority within your niche and will also build trust with group members.  You will then want to incorporate links in your posts that go to your videos, offers, and blog.

3. Blogging

Blogging have been working in affiliate marketers’ favor for years and will continue to be a consistent traffic source for years to come, no matter what some people say.

I recommend always creating a basic blog around any niche that you get into online.  Your success hinges on your ability to deliver valuable content to your readers and you can also incorporate an opt-in form to gain subscribers to your email list.  You can also embed links to your videos and promote affiliate offers on your blog and within your articles themselves.

4. Pinterest

There is a large amount of traffic floating around on Pinterest and it seems to be growing recently.  You can use this platform for each of your affiliate niche sites by promoting content and related images.

Good images can be linked back to your blog and videos to create more buzz around your brand.

5. Forums

Forums can be a great way to again get highly targeted traffic to your website.  You know that everyone in that forum is interested and engaged in whatever niche you may be trying to get into.

You can personally interact with people within the forum and creating value for people, and again link back to your website.

BONUS:

Snapchat and Instagram are great sources of traffic as well, you will just need to be creative and come up with ways to promote your information and products on these platforms.

With YouTube and your Blog, you really want to focus on putting out content every single day for the first 30-60 days.  This will help you quickly grow your following and Google also loves this when it comes to search engine ranking.

Step-By-Step Guide to Generating Commissions Online with Affiliate and Email Marketing

In this guide you will learn how to:

  • Find a product to promote to your target audience
  • Set up a sales funnel that will drive traffic to your offer
  • Tie everything together to make money on autopilot, even while you sleep
  • Scale your business
  • Duplicate the process

“Chase the vision, not the money.  The money will end up following you”

Although it does boil down to money, the freedom of choice is what we truly desire.

Hi there,

My name is Tim Roberts… and in this report I want to walk you through the process of starting your digital marketing career from anywhere with a laptop and an internet connection.

Now, this report is just a general overview of the whole process and there are many other details and concepts to be understood which is why I invite you to click here to join the largest affiliate marketing community and training website on the internet.  It is 100% free to join!

First, allow me to introduce myself:

I always wanted to be an entrepreneur and have the freedom to live life on my terms.  For years I have searched for business opportunities and started multiple businesses that have ultimately failed.  I feared that I would be stuck working for someone else for the rest of my life, showing up on their terms, taking time off when they approved, and ultimately busting my ass to make someone else rich for little pay.

I thought about this constantly, to the point where I was making myself sick and depressed, which negatively affected my attitude on life and the relationships I had.  While money isn’t everything, I knew that it would solve 95% of my problems as they all seemed to revolve around the lack of money one way or another.

I finally decided that enough was enough, and I could not make any more excuses.  I made a promise to myself that I would not stop until I could be free to live on my own terms, to work when I want, to travel where I want, and to ultimately determine my own income that allowed me to do all of the above.

I am sure you can relate, so let’s get into the content…

Step 1:

The first thing you need to do is pick a product to promote to your target audience.  Many marketers debate whether you should start in a niche that you enjoy and are familiar with or one that is hot selling.

I believe that it is best to first start with a niche that you have knowledge about.  This way you can provide value to your customers because you know what you are talking about.

You can literally start with anything, as long as you target an audience that has a need for your product.

Here is an example of what some people are doing with affiliate networks.  (This obviously is not a guarantee, but shows what is possible.  People are making anywhere from an extra $50 per day all the way up to 4 and even 5 figures per day.

Affiliate networks make it easy to start making money even if you do not have your own product to promote.  These networks, such as Clickbank and JVZoo, have products listed that were created by other sellers.

By promoting these products, you can earn LARGE COMMISIONS.  See the example below in the weight loss niche, it is for a yoga product.

As you can see, this product pays a hefty commission every time someone purchases through your affiliate link.

Once you click “Promote” you can copy and paste your link anywhere.

This unique link allows the seller to know that the sale came from you.

Step 2:

Next, we create a sales funnel that will allow us to promote and sell the product.  All you need to do is set it up once.

See below the concept of the sales funnel (again, I strongly recommend that you click here for more details on the workings of the funnel, otherwise you may miss some of the necessary components for this to work properly)

Makeup of the Sales Funnel:

Ad –  This is what we use to capture the audience’s attention.  This can be in the form of a solo ad, facebook ad, twitter post, etc. (More to come on that later)

Squeeze Page – Also known as the landing page.  This is a basic web page used to obtain the contact info of whoever clicked on the ad.

Usually gives a free offer or other incentive for the person to enter their email address.

As an example, the squeeze page might say…

Free Report Reveals

How to Lose 20 Pounds in One Month And Keep It Off Without Spending Countless Hours At the Gym

Enter your email below to download the report now!

One thing to keep in mind is to only use a headline that the offer you are promoting can fulfill.  Lying in your marketing will hurt you in the long run.

If someone clicks your ad, lands on your squeeze page, and wants the result that you are offering they will more than likely enter their email.

After submitting their email address, the person will then be sent to your offer so that they have a chance to buy.

As seen in the diagram above, the arrow pointing down from the squeeze page links to your autoresponder.  This is where the person’s contact information will be stored.

Autoresponder –  The autoresponder is what allows you to continually follow up with your prospective customers.  It is a database that stores the email addresses that we obtain and sends them pre-designed emails over time that include valuable content and other offers.

The autoresponder is extremely crucial because as you know most people do not buy the first time they are offered a product.  Having the ability to follow up with someone multiple times allows us to more opportunities to sell the offer and answer any questions/concerns they may have about the product.

A good way to do this is to create emails that contain:

  • More information about the product (content)
  • Testimonials from users
  • Answers to common questions
  • Bonus incentives or other free material
  • Etc

We only need to set up the email cycle ONCE, and it will send our emails out according to the dates, times, etc that we specify on autopilot.

All of those emails ultimately are linking back to the offer we intend to promote (or other offers that may be better suitable) so that the recipient has another chance to purchase…

…and when they do, we get paid a commission!!

When you set this up it allows you to make money any time of day (and while you sleep) and from anywhere in the world.

You can then scale your business by expanding your reach with ads, optimizing your landing page, refining follow up emails, and finding better offers or creating your own offer that will help people achieve a desired goal.

Once you have money steadily rolling in, you can expand and repeat the process in other niches or for other products.

Summary:

As I mentioned before, this is just an overview of the digital sales process.  To get more of the in depth details on setting up each part and how they function together, click here for your free membership to the online training and marketing community.

I really hope that this report has given you a more clear understanding of how simple it is to start making money online.  You can literally determine your own income once you understand the concepts and workings behind this formula.  The sky is the limit.

Here are a few links that you will need along the way:

(Keep these handy)

GoDaddy – You will need a domain for your webpage

HostGator – Your domain will need to be hosted on a server so that people can view it.

Clickbank – Where you can find affiliate offers

JVZoo – Where you can find more affiliate offers

GetResponse – This is you autoresponder ($30 credit with this link)

Clickmagick – Tracking tool that will save you A LOT of money in the long run

While you may not need all of these right away, once you start setting up your funnel you will definitely want to integrate them.

How to Generate Leads Through Free Traffic Sources

What you should be using instead of paid traffic-

  • Youtube Videos
  • Facebook
  • Forums
  • Google Alerts

 Youtube Videos:

This is more time consuming but you want to create a series of videos that deliver great content.  If possible, making a 3 video series will cause more viewers to watch all 3, yet you have a similar pitch and affiliate product in/with each.  This gives you triple the chance of conversion.  Deliver great content and get subscribers.

Facebook:

Creating great posts on Facebook will promote shares, especially if you target the emotions of your readers.

Another good way to utilize this platform is to join multiple groups in your niche and get in contact with individuals.  Posts to the whole group work well if done properly but many users overlook those posts since people are always trying to sell something to them especially in large groups.  If you can connect with 5 to 10 individuals and truly provide them value and success, then they will most definitely share what they learned and your link with another 5 to 10 people, and so on…

 Forums:

Forums are a great way to target your niche audience without a lot of the bullshit that you get on Facebook.  Most of the time you can sort forum posts by the amount of views they have.  Looks at the ones with the most views and create a subject line that reflects similar wording.

You can also connect with individuals here and provide value for them.  Spend a little extra time with each person and your efforts will go much further…trust me on this.

 Google Alerts:

When you sign up for Google Alerts, you can select certain keywords and searches related to your niche.  Google will then provide an alert (usually once daily) with links to brand new articles pertaining to the keywords you selected.  You can just on these articles and provide some value and leave your link in the comment section.  Your comment will then remain as the first comment readers see after the article.  This will pay off indefinitely down the road if the article becomes popular and shared.
